Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. (Hebrews 12:1)
Abba, our Father, the Most High, God Almighty, You promised You will always be with us until the end of age. Each day, You are watching over us, not only to see us doing Your will but also to keep us from the evil one, who is looking forward to us stumbling. The enemy wants us to give up the race You set before us. For the sake of the whole world as our witness, we will strive to live according to the holiness You taught us. So, please help us, Father, to remove all the filth of our spirit and flesh. Please help us turn away and completely leave behind the sins that ensnares us, so we may haste towards reaching the perfection of holiness. By this, like You, we will radiate with holiness and serve as the light shining upon this dark world. We want to do this for the glorification and honor of Your holy name, Christ Jesus, our King and Savior. Amen.
