And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” (Genesis 21:6)
Abba, Lord Jesus, You visited us today, and woke us up in our sleep to give as another blessed day. We believe that this will be a wonderful day! Amazing things will happen to make us jump for joy. You always give reasons to be happy! There are so many ways you make us laugh, Lord. You make us smile and laugh heartily even in simple things like parents cuddling their new born babe or grandparents playing with their grandchildren. You make us laugh because you touch our soul. You are near and we feel the warmth of your love when you make us laugh. Our perspectives are changed, all of a sudden, when we laugh, from a negative spirit to positive and joyful one. You make us laugh because your salvation and provisions. Lord, we pray that even though our hearts are full of sadness and our spirits are down, restore the joy in our hearts and make us happy with the truthfulness of your promises. Kindly wash away our tears caused by sufferings and pain due to sickness, of troubles and broken relationships, of financial woes and failed plans. Show us not the things our eyes only see but see beyond those circumstances where we receive your blessings for us to enjoy. The beginning is not the end, Lord. We suffer for a short while and when we persevere, we shall enjoy the best which is to come. We wait for the rain of blessings which will fall upon your children to wash our tears away. Lord, pour upon us your grace and your Holy Spirit to make us fruitful in good works and remove the barrenness in our lives. Make us enjoy your blessings, not forgetting to thank you and praise you for your grace. May we share them with our families, our spouses and children and grandchildren and to our friends to rejoice with us. Amen.
