Let Us Pray No. 263

  • September 20, 2023

Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me. (Isaiah 45:11)

Abba, you are the only true God. You are the Creator of all things in heaven and on earth. You are the Most High King who rules with your infinite power and wisdom. You are alone in your league. No other God who is worthy of praise and adoration. You are our Master and we are your servants. Our duty is to serve you and to declare your glory to all mankind and to the heavenly beings as well. But you came to us not with iron fist but with tender hands, not with hateful eyes but with a loving heart. For these, Father, we commit ourselves to obey your commands. However, without you, we cannot do anything. We can only do things of great value through your power. We also need your wisdom. We come to you in prayer and supplication to reveal to us your plans for us that we may pursue them with utmost diligence and patience. We admit that we cannot succeed in any way except when you guide us. We request that you give us the knowledge and understanding of the things that are happening in our surroundings and in our lives. Give us the gift of discernment that we may not fall into traps. Loving Father, give us the strength that we may accomplish your purpose in our lives. We pray that you lead us from glory to glory, as your children and as your spiritual body for the whole creation to see your power working in us. We ask this in your name, Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen.
