Let Us Pray No. 13

  • January 13, 2021

Then Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road. (Mark 10:52)

Abba, Father. We ask for your blessing, for your guidance and direction as we begin today our life’s journey. We are not certain of what it will bring us, but you oh, Lord knows everything. You are in control of everything in the whole of creation. If I go in my own way, I know that I can go astray and will just grope in darkness and eventually stumble and fall. Truly, you are the light and in you there is no darkness. We pray and ask for your words to enlighten our spiritual sight. Please lead us to your way that I may walk in the highway of holiness. Show us your will that we may do what is pleasing and acceptable to you; not our will but your will. Let your words be the lamp on our feet to lead us in which direction we must go. When there are crossroads along the way, and we need to decide which way to go, grant us the wisdom and the foresight that we may see the best way to reach the place of success and blessings.

When we get there Lord, we know that we have the responsibility to bless others. What we only ask is for you to create a clean heart in us, oh God, and may support us with a willing spirit. Thus, we can be of help to someone who lose heart, those who are in the twists and turns, in the crossroads or in the dead end of their lives. Lord, give us the courage and compassion to become feet for the lame, eyes for the blind and arms for the hopeless. Let us be the light of the world and salt of the earth that they may see that we are truly your beloved children. This is how we desire to follow you Lord. We pray in your name Jesus Christ. Amen.
