Let Us Pray No. 12

  • January 13, 2021

“Keep watching and praying that you may not enter into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Matthew 26:41)

Dear Lord, our Holy Father, you are the rock of our salvation and our ready help in times of troubles. Before we begin the day in going about our business, especially in building up your kingdom on earth, we pray for your guidance and for strength that we may accomplish all things according to your will. We know that we shall encounter enemy attacks at different times and ways, with the end view that they will hurt us, destroy and even tempt us not only to kill us and to bring us to eternal fire. We are not ignorant of their deceptions, and thanks to you for giving us your Holy Spirit that we may discern their intentions and actions. We know that they are so angry at us because of our wanting and seeking holiness in all areas of our lives. Like their master, they are like roaring lions ready to devour us anytime. Thank you for your advice and the privilege to pray to you and to petition you for help. Thank you for giving us the faith that will save us from evil. Through faith we not only pray but are able to be watchful, to be alert at all times to resist the devil. We ask that you strengthen us in our weakness. Make our weakness our strength by having you in our lives. Let you Spirit dwell in us and abide in us all the days of our lives that the devil will not come forward for they will be destroyed by your power. Lord, God, Let us always be on guard in all our dealings and in all that we do making sure that everything  we do is according to your will and purpose in our lives. Lord, we let us seek you every minute and every hour throughout the day to talk to you by way of our prayers and be watchful while doing our kingdom building and our faith building. At the end of the day, before we rest our body and soul to sleep, let all be done in your honor for the praise of your glorious grace. Amen.
