Gold Dust No. 9

They would do the right thing and because they did, they would grow stronger. (Job 17:9 CEV)

God expects us to do what is right in His eyes and not what is right according to our own standards. Doing the right thing even in the midst of those who do what is wrong is an act of courage and strong faith. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, at the time of Israel’s Babylonian captivity, put up a monument of his god at the center of his kingdom. Everyone that passes by is commanded to worship, bow and respect his god. Everyone bowed down, except for (Azariah) Abednego, (Hananiah) Shadrach and (Mishael) Meshach who are the three friends of Prophet Daniel. They stood firm in-front of the idol in the middle of a multitude who bowed down to worship. They were threatened to be put to death in a furnace of fire if they do not bow. Still, they held on to their faith. They did what was right. They bravely said, “God will save us from death, BUT IF NOT, WE WILL STILL NOT WORSHIP OTHER GODS”. They were casted in the furnace seven times hotter than usual but God saved them. Everyone witnessed that three were casted but four were in the furnace. The fourth looked like the SON OF GOD. Not even a strand of hair was burned and unbelievably, they did not even smell like they were in the fire! Brethren, hold on to your faith. You will come out of the fire even stronger in faith and in love in God than before. Jesus saves!
