Respect and obey the LORD! This is the first step to wisdom and good sense. God will always be respected. (Psalms 111:10 CEV)
The Most High God is glorious in His power and majestic in His holiness. All must approach Him in awe and with reverential fear. Fear of God is a state of mind and heart expressed in obedience to His commands. It is an experiential learning. We acquire the knowledge and understanding about God, His will, ways, thoughts and love by obeying Him. We set aside our own thoughts, wills and desires. We imitate Him until we become His perfect image—holy and godly. Since God is holy, so must we. If we are holy we can offer ourselves as living sacrifices, most reasonable and acceptable which is our continuous praise to Him.
