Our happiness is to serve the Most High God, our Father in heaven. Our aim is to please Him through faithful obedience which is our expression of love for Him. It also gives us great joy in knowing that God, consequently, will give us a greater reward in His Second Coming. This assurance of God’s goodness makes us do more, continuously and faithfully until the end. Rewards come after we have already done our service to God. It may come sooner or later. Thus, we must wait patiently for the Lord with His reward. Meanwhile, we must renew our spirit, strength, and zeal in serving the Lord. Those waiting for His coming are like eagles that soar high; they will run and will not get tired. They are the true Prosdechomenoi.
