Gold Dust No. 360

  • December 26, 2019

I ask you to make full use of the gift that God gave you when I placed my hands on you. Use it well. God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:6-7 CEV)

Being members of the body of Christ, each of us have been given spiritual gifts to be able to do our duties. We have to always be able and available to give our very best to the excellent God we serve. He appointed us and made us qualified through the spiritual gift we have. However, most of us do not know how to use these gifts. Worse is some do not know what their gifts are. To do our best is to know and use our gifts to the maximum by focusing our time, effort and resources. Do you know what service you can do to glorify the Lord?1. Do what you do best and do what makes you happy. 2. Serve others instead of just serving yourself. Your experience in various ministries or service will provide you opportunities to find your happiness and hone your talents. 3. Other Christians, especially mature Church Leaders, will recognize and affirm your gift as they see you serve. 4. Evaluate the results of your work. Do you see positive results in what you do? If so, work on it graciously, without reservation and hesitation. We are all responsible to discover, develop, kindle and exercise our gift. In the appointed time, we will give an account to the Lord as to how we used or did not use our gift. He will look for fruits that abound – whether fifty-fold, hundred-fold, a thousand-fold or none. Faithful Christians serve each other for the edification of the body of Christ and for His glory.
