Keep your mind on things above, not on worldly things. You have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:2-3 GW)
The risen Christ is the emblem of our salvation—that we are not of the world but citizens of heaven. We are homeward bound. Our walk of faith is Godward. The way of the righteous is upward. We rise from the ground and we rise higher towards heaven. To do so is to let go of the burdens we carry. Travel light to move quickly. Put away the things of the world and the desires of the world. Focus on the things above and pursue them. You are the children of light. Light travels faster than anything, even faster than sound. You first see lighting in the sky before you hear the thunder. See God of heaven first before abiding by the noise of the earth. God is the glorious light. We reflect His glory. He is with us and we are in Him. He is holy, be holy. God is love, be in love. Brethren, we are meant for a higher life and excellent life. Why own the earthly, lower and corrupted life when we can claim a heavenly, higher and blissful life?
