“I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who live in me while I live in them will produce a lot of fruit. But you can’t produce anything without me. (John 15:5 GW)
We know the basic principle how a tree produce fruits. The roots absorb nutrients from the soil. Through its trunk, the nutrients absorbed are distributed to the branches so that it can bear fruits. If we look at a typical composition of a tree, there are smaller branches and there are bigger branches. The bigger branches are the ones attached to the trunk and they are the ones that hold the smaller branches. It means that the smaller branches receive the nutrients through the bigger ones and that they cannot be a part of the tree if they are cut from the bigger branches. This is same way with the Church Members. The Holy Spirit is distributed to us through the Church Administration. One cannot say that he is a faithful member of the Church and a solid believer of Christ if he does not submit himself to the appointed spiritual leaders in the Church. No one can effectively and efficiently perform his ministry without his obedience to the Church Administration. So let us submit ourselves to the Church elders for they are the ones entrusted by God to administer His house. If we do, we can be assured that all the blessings and grace from God will abound us.
