Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all–he is the greatest.” (Luke 9:48 NIV)
The greatest is the humblest. The world considers the powerful, the wise and the rich as the greatest. But God says the greatest in His Kingdom is the one who serves and not the one who is served. As Christians, we have to regard others to be first and us the least. We should have a servant attitude instead of pride. We are to serve without discrimination. We serve even the least of the brethren in order to gain God’s approval. It is indeed very fulfilling to serve our brethren because in doing so, we serve the Lord our God. God commands us to love one another and serve one another. By this, we show the world that we are true Disciples of Christ.
