Gold Dust No. 3

To do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, sharing, storing up for yourselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of eternal life. (1 Timothy 6:18-19 EMTV)

A young rich man asked Jesus, “What must I do to be perfect?” Jesus’ reply was, “Sell your properties and share the money to the poor and you shall gain treasure in heaven”. You see money is not everything. It is said that it is easy for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the gates of heaven. The way to heaven is godliness, which is loving the poor and doing good works. We should be sharing generously to alleviate the conditions of the poor. God has chosen the poor to be rich in godliness. Spiritually, the poor in the sight of God are those who are sinners and the unbelievers. They lack the real treasure. Let us share our heavenly treasures with them. Let us share our faith, the gospel and the love of Jesus. Let us support the Mission of the Most Holy Church to reach more people and bring them to Christ. Remember that a single soul is worth more than the whole world. Share your faith today and every day. What good works will you do today? If you do them, your future will be blessed. Have a blessed day, brethren.
