The Spirit is the one who gives life! Human strength can do nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are from that life-giving Spirit. (John 6:63)
Come to think of this: If the spirit of God is not with us, how can we live? We only exist in the world. Our flesh, the outer man moves, feels and is seen by all, but inside, the inner man is dead. Inside of our flesh is hollow. Only when we are saved by Christ do we really live. Christ is the only way to receive the words of truth, and the truth He speaks gives life to our soul. We have been blessed to receive His words daily and abundantly. His words are food that nourishes our soul and cold water that gives comfort to our thirsty soul. We are elected children of God, cared for in His House, provided with everything we need. We have everything, we have more than enough. What more can we ask for? There are those who follow Jesus not because of faith and love but because of the material benefits He can provide. They leave Him when time gets rough and difficult. Jesus asked His twelve disciples the same way He is asking you and me today, “Do you also want to leave?” The disciples answered, “Where do we go, Lord, you have the words eternal life!” Think twice before you backslide from the faith?.You cannot find the words of life anywhere except in Jesus Christ our Lord, in His House.
