Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:8 NIV)

The whole duty of man is to serve God. For this reason we are created by Him. We are to serve Him in a way that is pleasing and acceptable to Him. We cannot please God if we serve Him with unclean, bloody and sinful hands. Meaning, we have to be holy and pure. Sins separate us from Him. We cannot be clean by ourselves. We have to humbly come to God, with repentant hearts, and seek forgiveness of our sins. His blood once shed on the cross can forever wash away our sins, make us pure, holy and separated for good works. Only then can we serve. Come to God and serve Him with your most holy faith. Praise and worship Him. Obey His commands at all times. Do not doubt Him, His love, integrity, and holiness or He will not accept our service. Sincere love and faithfulness is what makes our service to Him acceptable. God is always there waiting for us sinners to come to Him. He has an open invitation to all. Come to Jesus Christ, those who are weary, tired, hopeless, depressed, lonely, burdened with all sorts of problems, confused, lost, and He will give you rest… Why don’t we come near the throne of the only living God now, Jesus Christ, and serve Him? He is waiting for you.
