Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. (James 5:11 NKJV)

With God’s permissible will, Satan was able to inflict harm to Job. Job was a man of God. His faith was perfect. Because of his faith in God, God prospered him in material and spiritual things. His faith was tried wherein all of his wealth was burned to the ground, all of his children died, he had a terrible disease, and on top of those, his wife tempted him to turn away from God. In all that Job suffered, he did not sin against God. He remained faithful. He did not even question God for all that happened to him. He endured until the end. Satan, whose intention was to hurt and separate Job from God, came to nothing. The faith of Job put Satan to shame. Job passed the test, therefore, he was rewarded by God. He was given sevenfold his previous riches, blessed him with children and multiplied his years. God allows us to go through trials. He wants us to put our trust in Him. He is not a cruel like Satan. He is kind and full of mercy. When we persevere and endure, God will bless us.
