Gold Dust No. 235

Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. (Romans 12:2 CEV)

A Christian’s life can be compared to a kite. To fly a kite, you must pull its string opposite to the direction of the wind. If the kite moves according to the wind’s direction, it will get lower and fall down sooner. This world is accustomed to live in immorality. Many think that by satisfying the immorality of the flesh they could find happiness. That is why they do not find time to worship God. Like a kite, we must think, act, and live opposite to the way this world does. We must live in holiness and we must find our happiness in doing it. Let us leave behind the sinful way of life this world has. How? Let God pull the kite’s string. Meaning, let us live according to faith. Let our faith work in us. Let God guide us in how to be holy in the midst of this unholy world. If we will be able to do so, like a kite, we will soar high and many people will be able to see our maturity as Christians. If that is so, many will try to imitate us and would want a life in serving the Most High God.
