A godly life brings huge profits to people who are content with what they have. (1 Timothy 6:6 GW)
Godliness is true wealth. Material wealth does not last forever, but godliness does. You can use gold and silver only while you live, while you can enjoy godliness for eternity. The wealth of the wicked comes with troubles. Even though they have great riches, the wicked are still not satisfied. They amass wealth even in sinful ways. Truly, the love of money is the root of all evil. In the end, sinners lose their soul to Satan and will end up in hell. The wicked think they gain because of their wealth, but actually they are losers. However, we are taught to be content in every situation we are in. It means if we gain riches in this world, be satisfied and do not be hooked to amass them in sinful ways. If we are poor, be satisfied, meaning, accept the present situation and be patient, hopeful and work to improve your lot. Do not be tempted to commit sin to get out of your difficult circumstances. Continue to be godly, and be satisfied in the Lord. Peace, happiness and contentment are greater than money, gold and silver. Jesus said that blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom (or the riches) of heaven.
