Each of you should go on living according to the Lord’s gift ‘to you, and as you were when God called you. This is the rule I teach in all the churches. (1 Corinthians 7:17 GNB)
We are called to be members of Christ’s spiritual body. According to God’s sovereign will, He made us bishops; presbyters, ministers and pastors, evangelists, missionaries, deacons, deaconess, secretaries and treasurers, choir and band members and all in the ministries, for the Church to function as, a body to carry on the works of glorifying God and proclaiming the gospel to mankind. We are given this honor to serve our Spiritual Father, the Most High God. Everyone has his own duties and responsibilities. Though we have different callings, we can appreciate the beauty of our unity bonded by Agape love to the Lord and to each other. Everyone is involved and committed to serve and do his own work in the body. We have seen that we were able to do more and accomplish more. Remember the synergy of the geese when they fly in V-shape arrangement. They follow their leader, they pave the way for the ones following them by breaking the winds, and they work in unity, in synergy. Brethren, let us not be idle and just watch. Let us give ourselves to God’s calling. Do your share. Let us work together. Use your God-given talents. Let us glorify God together. Come, we will guide and teach you.
