The one who plants and the one who waters work as a team with the same purpose. Yet they will be rewarded individually, according to their own hard work. (1 Corinthians 3:8 NLT)
We are co-laborers of God in His vineyard which is the Church. We work as a team with God as our leader. He is the owner of the vineyard/Church. It is priceless. He bought it with His blood. He gave His life for it. We are privileged to be given the chance to work with Him and to take part in accomplishing His vision for His Church. The Church should give glory to God. It is its divine purpose. Therefore, we ministers and lay workers must have a single goal, which is to equip members for the work of glorifying God. We glorify God when we bear fruits of righteousness and fruits of converted souls. Thus, we must plant the good seeds which are God’s words in the hearts of men. Others have to watch and care over them, to water them regularly while God will grow and multiply them. Know that fruit bearing starts and ends with God. He gives us the seeds to plant and water and He grows them. Let us do our part well. Ministers, plant the seed with passion and zeal. Abiezers, water the plant faithfully and with love. If we do our tasks, God will do the rest. God will give us rewards according to the work we have done. The fruits we bear abundantly are already rewards. Greater rewards shall be given when He comes for the harvest.
