Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives. (Titus 3:14)
Trees are devoted to bear fruits. Flowers are devoted to give beauty and fragrance. If they do not, then, they are no longer useful and are to be disposed of. In the same way, we Christians, are created to do good works. We are trees of righteousness devoted to bear fruits of righteous works. We are like flowers that impart beauty and sweet scent. We decorate the doctrine we received from Christ with the beauty of holiness and impart the sweet aroma of salvation, peace and happiness in the lives of people around us. We are ordered to live productive lives and not to be idle. Keep the name of Christ blameless through our good works. We should intentionally do good works to others, not for self-glorification, but for them to praise and glorify God upon seeing our good works.
