Patience and gentle talk can convince a ruler and overcome any problem. (Proverbs 25:15 CEV)

We cannot win a soul through arguments and debates. Souls are won with kind words spoken with love and sincerity. The word of God is likened to a double-edged sword. It pierces the heart in such a way as to separate the lie from truth. Though it is sharp,  it is spoken with gentleness and compassion. The opposite are words which are harsh, offending, degrading and hurting. They are also sharp and break the hearts of the one spoken to. These words do not make peace instead they result in conflicts. As Christians, we are to be gentle in our speech. Remember that souls are not won through the mind. They are won through the heart. Even powerful persons can be pacified through patience, understanding and gentle words. When there is any issue with each other in Church, it is better to resolve it right away than let it grow to become hate. Instead, let love and understanding settle any issue. Let us sit down and talk patiently and gently. Let peace be in our midst.
