Be glad for the chance to suffer as Christ suffered. It will prepare you for even greater happiness when he makes his glorious return. (1 Peter 4:13 CEV)
Christ was accused of the crime of rebellion because He proclaimed the gospel of the kingdom of God. He was persecuted by telling the truth about His divinity. Even today, we may suffer in proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom of Christ and the truth that He is the only God. If we do, we should not be surprised. Instead, we should be glad that we are partakers of Christ’s sufferings. If so, we shall also be partakers of His glory in His return. Our sufferings are assurance that we shall receive the crown of life and will reign with Him for a thousand years and then in heaven forever. Rejoice if you suffer for the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ.
