Gold Dust No. 110

Watch yourself and watch your teaching; stick to your work; if you do that, you will save your hearers as well as yourself. (1 Timothy 4:16 Moffat)

“My life is my ministry.” Our work is most important. It is the work of the Lord, the business of our Father. We are given the task of saving souls through preaching the gospel. We have to give ourselves wholly to the ministry. Stick to your work of preaching, baptizing, teaching and making disciples of people for the glory of God. Do not neglect doing your duty as the Minister of the Most High. Do not take it for granted. Do not make other things more important than your calling. If you do, He, who appointed you, will take back everything and give them to others who are worth the calling. It will just be like taking your breath away, your happiness, your confidence in Christ and your seat along with the heroes of faith. Therefore, I urge you to do your ministry seriously. Make sure that the work you are doing will stand the test of God. Note that each of us will take account of our souls and the souls of others who are given under our care. Make sure the road you are walking, along with the souls you are guiding, leads to heaven.
