Love your neighbor the same way as you love yourself. You cannot give something which you do not have. Therefore, take hold of yourself. Do not lose yourself. Oftentimes, we lose ourselves when we go through trials and tribulations. We become too emotional that we are blinded on the real situations and act emotionally without reason. Sometimes, anger and passion prevails that we tend to commit mistakes. We are taught to guard ourselves, our souls during difficult times. Maintain a clear and right mind by being patient to assess correctly the situations at hand. Pray that God gives you the heart to endure until situations become better. Do what you have to do and wait for the salvation of the Lord. Remember that during the time that you do not have anything to hold on to, there is only you to possess. If you lose yourself, others will take you it and you shall be a slave to them. Work out your own salvation for God already willed it. If you save yourself, you can save others.
