Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You! (Psalms 119:11 NKJV)

Treasure the words of God more than gold and silver. Keep them in the best and most suitable place – the heart. Delight in His words for you to grow in holiness. They are food for the soul. Man cannot live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord. We should take them daily with- out skipping to ensure your spiritual health and avoid sickness which leads to death. The soul becomes sick when it is weak. Then, it falls into sin which causes it to die. Because the words of God are so important to our spiritual growth and righteous living, we have to devote time for hearing, reading, and studying them. Faith comes by hearing – hearing the words of God. The more you hear God’s words, the more will your faith in God be. Faith is proportional to hearing the words. You should also devote time to reading the Bible. Most people, even Christians, spend a lot of time in gadgets, telenovelas, games, and social media; neglecting to feed their souls. Reading allows you to meditate and encounter the Holy Spirit to guide you in your study. It makes your faith stronger. It equips you to fight against temptations and leads you to a successful life in Christ. Blessed are those who read and hear the words of God and keep them in their hearts. The words of God are His power for salvation. Be doers and not hearers only.
