Those who trust in the Lord
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. (Psalms 125:1 NKJV)
Christians whose trust is in the Most High God carry the special distinctions of a mountain – like Mount Zion, well-known for its strong position and being under divine protection of God. Our trust in God makes us strong and firm in faith. Like a mountain’s unique distinction from its elevation, God raised us up as children of the Most High. A mountain’s stability represents the firmness of our affirmation and integrity. Our confidence in God fortifies our faith that it cannot be shaken or moved by the strong winds and violent storms of different challenges in life. Moreover, our God also wants us to understand that mountains are very significant when it comes to His relation with us. Noah’s ark rested in the mountains of Ararat after the great flood. God asked Abraham to climb Mount Moriah, where he was tested to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. God talked to Moses through a burning bush in Mt. Horeb. Moses received the Ten Commandments in Mt. Sinai. The Beatitude of Jesus was conducted in a mountain. His miracles of healing and feeding of multitude; His transfiguration; His crucifixion, and death in Mt. Golgotha and the commissioning of the Apostles all happened in different mountains. Strengthen your trust and faith in our Lord God Jesus Christ. You will be like a mountain where you shall experience miraculous works and blessings in your life!
