He shall deliver you in six troubles,
Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you. (Job 5:19 NKJV)
They say that when a man is born, problems were already associated with his life. No one has no problems. It is a fact of life. At times or oftentimes, we are not yet even done fixing a problem, and another one comes. It appears like there is no end. We think that there is no hope for recovery. Trouble after trouble seems overhead and we are drowning. We do not know anymore to whom we can hold on to. When we suffer, we should not focus on the problem alone. We have to realize the reason and the purpose behind our afflictions. The Bible tells us, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, in order that I may learn your commands.” We should understand that our God exposes us to the fire of trials to forge us into the likeness He went through when He was manifested in the flesh. So how do we cope with sufferings? Chocolate melts while clay hardens when both are exposed to heat – the same situation but different reactions. The irony for Christians is that they consider the sorrows they are going through as joy because they fully understand that: “The LORD’s people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through.” Like Job, we will receive a double portion of blessings if we triumphantly overcome all the trials and troubles we experience in our life.
