So that men will say,
“Surely there is a reward for the righteous;
Surely He is God who judges in the earth.” (Psalms 58:11 NKJV)

We cannot please everybody – like the song bird that tweets and chirps beautifully for everyone to hear and enjoy. However, one day, it fell off from the branch. Its wings were injured because a cruel man hit it with a stone. Still, it continued to make sweet music despite its injury. In the same way, we are persecuted by others, not by doing wrong but, because we do the right things. The Lord teaches us to forgive. In His prayer on the cross He said: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!” He prayed for those who did Him wrong. As His disciples, we should follow His example of forgiveness. We should not lose hope if we experience hardships. God will not permit these things to happen if we cannot endure them. Let us keep on doing the right things. He will guide us and soon enough, we shall see the light. God never sleeps. He never ignores us whenever we are facing such misery. Do not let anyone or anything move you off the foundation of your faith. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that your hard work for the Lord is not pointless. “Having patience has its reward.” (Kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga.)
