For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. (2 Timothy 1:12 NKJV)

Trials and sufferings are part of everyday Christian’s life. If someone wants to serve God, he should accept this truth. A disciple is not above his master nor is a servant above his lord. When Christ Jesus came in the flesh, He suffered a lot for the sake of our soul’s salvation. Now that we have been saved, it is our time to return the favor to Him. Let us be ready to sacrifice everything even, if we have to suffer different trials and tribulations, for the sake of our Savior’s name. Most of us are afraid to sacrifice anything because we do not completely understand its meaning. When we sacrifice, there is something we have to lose or give up to gain something that is much better. We should not be afraid nor be ashamed to sacrifice. We may have to sacrifice a lot in this life, more than we ever thought of – but when the time to receive our reward comes, with tears of joy we will tell ourselves, all of the pain that we went through is not enough to make us worthy for that kind of glory.
