But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:5 NKJV)

It is not hard to keep and obey God’s commandments and there are tons of reasons that we must. Here are the seven excellent reasons. First, God saved us and chose us; obeying God is the manifestation of our gratitude to His great Agape Love for us. Second, we are given the privilege to do His will, being elected by God. Third, it is the practice of our faith for we know that faith without work or obedience is dead by itself and is only completed by its works. Fourth, it is for our own good if we obey God’s instructions and directions diligently. They will help you live a long and prosperous life. Fifth, we obey and keep His words sincerely because we desire to glorify and honor Him as our Father. Sixth, we obey Him with humility because we acknowledge His Kingship. We humbly recognize that respecting and obeying God is what life is all about – it is the purpose of life and our whole duty to serve Him as our Creator. Finally, the seventh greatest and most sacred reason we must keep and obey His words for us is because we love God with our whole heart, whole soul, whole mind, and whole strength. Our obedience is our way of worship and adoration to God. There is no such life that is perfect and complete other than the life expend in serving the only one true God.
