Far be it from me
That I should say you are right;
Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. (Job 27:5 NKJV)

God permitted Satan to put Job to a test. Satan want – ed to prove that Job will turn away from God if he suffers the loss of everything that God has blessed him. So Job extremely suffered. He lost all of his wealth, his family, and was inflicted with boils from head to toe. His wife and three friends came and gave him two options to relieve him from further suffering. His wife told him the easy way of escape, curse God and die. Likewise, his three friends told him to accept that his suffering is caused by his sins and should repent. Note that Job was not aware of what was happening in spiritual setting. He was actually fighting against temptations. He was in a spiritual battle. He fought hard. He held on to his integ – rity. He insisted that he lived righteously before God and followed all of God’s precepts. He did not give in and surrender. He won and proved Satan that he was faithful to God in good or in bad times. Job’s victory gained him God’s favor. He was rewarded double of what he origi – nally had. Will you follow Job’s example of righteous – ness and faithfulness to God whatever happens? Or will you take the shortest route of sinning against God? Let us win the battle of our soul and hang on to our integrity
