There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 NKJV)
We all make mistakes. We fall into sin even if we try to avoid it. The battle between the spirit and the flesh is always on-going. The flesh is dominant over the spirit that we become slaves of sin. What we want, we cannot do, and that we do not want, we do. However, that was before we became followers of Christ Jesus. We were wretched men who were given freedom and were saved by the love of Christ. A slave has a price. Our price has been paid for by Christ on the cross. He gave his life for us. His blood cleansed us of all our sins. We do not live in sin anymore. God has transformed and empowered us. The spirit of God lives in us and dominates our flesh. The Spirit of Christ in us is a proof that we are children of God. We are not slaves anymore. We are the sons and daughters of the Most High. If we sin, God forgives us. He embraces us with His love and forgets the mistakes we make – if only we come to Him, confess our sins, beg for His forgiveness, and mend our ways.
