The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. (Psalms 34:10 NKJV)

Lions are kings of the jungle. They maybe powerful to make others submit to their kingship; yet they lack many things, suffer in pain, and finally death. Young lions represent men who are strong and powerful. They stand superior over others, as if they are lords forever. They do not need a savior, for they see themselves as such. They seem to have everything in this life, but they are empty inside. Their voices are heard everywhere, but their souls are crying in pain and longing. No, no, not the children of God, not us. We may be nothing in this world, but we are the peculiar people of God. His jewels, crown of His glory – we are the beloved children of God. The way to God’s continuing blessings is revealed to us. “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” All the necessities in this life, material and spiritual, shall be given to all those who seek God. The Kingdom of God is not of food and water but of signs and power. God will do amazing and unbelievable things in our lives if we seek to glorify and serve Him. Live righteously, and you shall not lack anything. Follow the voice of the Shepherd of our Souls, and He shall lead you to the green pasture. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…” If we have God, we have everything. How, then, can you be lacking of anything?
