I am thankful to God that he has given Titus the same enthusiasm for you that I have. (2 Corinthians 8:16 NLT)
Titus was an early Christian missionary and a Church leader, a companion and a disciple of Paul the Apostle. Soon after his baptism, Paul took Titus with him in Jerusalem, then to Corinth where he was received by the brethren with greater mark of respect. He was a trustworthy, diligent, and loyal administrator and missionary. Titus served the Church in Corinth full of enthusiasm, with the same intensity as Paul. Everything they did were for the sake of the Church. This spirit of enthusiasm became the spirit of the members that they fully supported the ministry of the Church. Today, ZEAL means Zion’s Edification Always Leads or SIKAP (Sa Iglesiang Kapakanan Ang Pangunahin). Brothers and sisters, because of our love for God, for His Most Holy Church and for mankind, we encourage you the way Paul and Titus motivated and persuaded the converts in Corinth to send support to our Church’s mission, to reach out to the poor world. Let us do this together with all of our best efforts. The world needs us. Let us SOW ON and plant the Seed Of One World One Nation.
