And the king’s servants said to the king, “We are your servants, ready to do whatever my lord the king commands.” (2 Samuel 15:15 NKJV)
Are you a servant of God? Yes? Are you sure? Because if you are, then you will agree with me when I say, “Time is the greatest treasure on earth we can have.” Why do I say so? Because unlike money, properties, and other belongings, once you let time pass by, you can never have it back. A good servant of God wastes no time in doing His will. Procrastination is not a habit of God’s servant. Instead, he will make haste to obey His commands. Let us always be prepared to take the Lord’s commands because we are His servants: He expects no one else but us to serve Him. Let us find delight in keeping His commandments, and let us take it as a loss if we fail to do so. Be like Isaiah who volunteered for the Lord after his guilt was removed. Be like Jeremiah who did not see his youth as a disadvantage to perform the ministry given to him. Let us always be ready to do whatever our God commands for He is always ready to reward us.
