not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. (1 Peter 3:9 NKJV)

God is love. That is His very nature. Love cannot give birth to hate. So, if you are a child of God, then love should be demonstrated in everything you do no matter what the situation. Many people say, “I am good to those who are good to me; I am bad to those who are not.” Why would you let the way others treat you determine your values and attitude? Why would you let other people’s actions make you do the same? As a child of God, we take hold of the situation. We take control of our emotions and actions. We should remember that we are God’s blessing to this world. Our existence should be the proof of God’s love to everyone. That is why we should never wish ill to those who mistreat us. Never be vengeful to those who hurt us. Never let other’s trash become your trash. When they hurt you or mistreat you, the best revenge is to forgive them and give way for God to give judgment. We should pray for them so that their minds and hearts would be enlightened – so they would know that they need to repent their wicked ways. God filled our life with overflowing blessings not for us to just keep them to ourselves but for as to be also His medium to bless others. The world is full of hatred. It is now time for us to spread love.
