And his affections are greater for you as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him. (2 Corinthians 7:15 NKJV)
God, in His sovereign will, gave us Church Bishops, Ministers, and Abiezers for the perfection of the saints. They are there to teach, guide, and assist you to become the perfect image of Christ our Lord. What they received is a tall order from the Lord because it involves the salvation of their own souls and the souls of who are put under their charge. In accepting this divine calling, they have surrendered themselves to the will of God, leaving nothing for them but giving everything to Christ and to you. Their joy is in you. You are their crown, the evidence of their being Bishops and Ministers of Christ. In other words, you are the certificates, the seal or evidence of their calling. Your obedience and respect you show them mean a lot to them. Your love and care, and you provision and company are more than enough to encourage them to serve you more. Initially, they serve you out of duty but after time, they serve you out of love. Your love brought us to love you. Brethren, thank you for the love. Our hope is one: that you may grow in Christ and bear fruits of righteousness so that our labor may not be in vain.
