For as many as were baptized into Christ, you put on Christ. (Galatians 3:27 NKJV)
The Most High God appeared in human form, in the name Jesus Christ, to set an example. An example which, if we follow, will lead us to glory and everlasting life in heaven. Jesus Christ never committed any sin and He never deceived anyone. He blessed everyone He encountered. He was never vengeful to anyone. Instead, He forgave and prayed for those who persecuted Him. Despite all the troubles and hindrances, He spread the good news to everyone. The life of Christ here on earth can be summarized in to two words – love and holiness. This is what it means to put on Christ: to live according to His examples. For holiness is the only way for us to enter the kingdom of heaven. For us to be able to live in holiness is to live with agape. Through the help of the Holy Spirit, which was given to us when we were baptized, let us strive to be perfect in love to be able to reach the perfection of holiness.
