For God has revealed his grace for the salvation of all people. That grace instructs us to give up ungodly living and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this world. (Titus 2:11-12 GNB)
By grace you have been saved! It is not of our own doing nor do we deserve to be saved. By grace, meaning, God has bestowed us this favor. By His sovereign will, He elected us to be His people. We did not choose Him, He chose us. He loved us so much that He came to this world to save us from the punishment of eternal death. His grace has made us His peculiar people, the apple of His eyes, the people whom He care for and love. His love compels us to obey and serve Him faithfully. His abiding grace teaches us to live according to His will and not our will. We were alive because of Him, reborn in the spirit and are now dead in sins. We became children of the Most High, heirs of the heavenly kingdom. We are not of the world now, and so, we do not live worldly. Our minds were transformed and now live not in conformity with the world. We live in a higher sphere, that of heaven for we are citizens of heaven and belong to the family of God. Live worthy of the grace and mercy of God.
