Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit in the binding power of peace. (Ephesians 4:3 AMP)
Christ prayed hard before His ascension to heaven. It was the longest prayer of Jesus Christ as written in the Bible. Seven times did He pray for the unity of His Disciples. We are His Disciples. Christ wants us to be perfectly united. We should, we must, and we can achieve perfect unity as Christ wanted it to exist in our midst. How can we be perfectly united? The answer is through the Covenant of Love. Christ established the Covenant by shedding His precious blood on the cross. The blood covenant has been in effect ever since we were baptized in the Church. Under the Covenant, Christ agrees to love us unconditionally. He will be God to us. He, being the Almighty God, will be shown to and experienced by us in the Church. In return, we have to commit ourselves to love Him and worship only Him. There will be no other God but Him. Furthermore, we have to love each other in Church just as He loves every one of us. Love is now the bond of peace and perfect unity. Let us labor to keep our end of the Covenant. Love one another. Labor to make our love for each one a three-fold cord that is not easily broken. AGAPE TAYO KAPATID.
