“And thus the secrets of his heart are revealed; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God and report that God is truly among you.” 1 Corinthians. 14:25
Abba, Father, you are all-knowing God. You can see the inner recesses of our hearts. We cannot hide from your sight. Wherever we go, you are there. You know our past, the present and even our future. Even our, words, which have not been spoken yet, you are already aware of them. You also know our weaknesses and strength, the beautiful parts in us and the ugliness in us. It is you who created us from our mothers’ wombs.
Lord, we confess that in our hearts we keep a lot of secrets. We ask for forgiveness for the sins we have made, sins which are due to our ignorance and lack of knowledge, of our stubbornness by doing what is convenient to us, of the things that made our flesh enjoy but our spirit suffered, of the lack of faith in you in many instances, of the sins which we have not thought of, and the sins we intentionally forget. Father, in our hearts, you can see also our fears and insecurities and inferiorities hidden deep within which cause us to cover them that others may not see. Still you may see in it pride which makes us look to others as less worthy that us.
Abba, Father, may you wash away all of them. Clean and purify our hearts and give us fresh spirit that we may be able to live in free from sins to delight in obeying your commands. Lord, thank you for your mercy and grace. We shall always worship you now and forever. Amen
