Let Us Pray No. 68

  • March 9, 2017

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Abba, dear Father. You loved us with an everlasting love. We are wretched and sinful creatures, we deserve to die. But you saved us from eternal destruction. I cannot find enough words to describe how you wonderfully justified and forgiven us. Every time I reflect about you when you were hanged and nailed on the cross, I felt how difficult and painful that situation. It should not be you; I should be the one in that case. I should be the one to be punished by such horrible death. But you took the wounds, the bruises and the stripes for us. Your blood is like a stream flowed freely to deliver us from Satan’s slavery. How can I repay you Lord? Even our best might not be good enough, teach me how to give my life as you gave yours. I will drink in the cup of bitterness as you did. I will serve like the way you serve for the others. I will proclaim and testify about you and your Agape love to those who do not know you yet. I will obey your will even if it means I have to deny myself and my wants. Help me to do it oh Father as a mark of my true worship and deepest gratitude towards all your goodness. Thank you, Lord God Jesus Christ for your greatness. Amen.
