“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'” Matthew 4:4
Abba, Father. You are our provider. You have been so generous towards us and graciously fed us all our lives until today. You have fed the Israelites in the wilderness with manna and quails for 40 years and fed multitudes of people in the mountain with few pieces of bread and fish. You have filled and favored us with material and spiritual things with your hands of blessings. Before anything turn out to be a need, you provide it for us.
As the temporal body lives by temporal food, so our soul lives by the spiritual food we need. It is a certain truth oh Lord, you are the living bread and living water that replenishes and satisfies our soul and spirit. You gave us your words and commands continually providing us breath and life and strength for our spiritual being by faithfully doing and obeying them. Thank you Father, my cup runs over. Today, I will walk on this earth sharing these foods toward hungry and thirsty souls. Help me God to do your will with love and passion. Amen.
