“For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7
Abba, heavenly Father. Thank you for setting us free from the bondage of sin and from the power of death. Who are we oh Lord that you treat us more than we deserve, we are worthy of eternal punishment but then you die as payment for our sins. Your death gave us life we enjoy now from here until into eternity. Your abounding love, mercy and grace are astounding truth why we become elected and predestined even before the creation of the world.
Father, we are sincerely aware that we shall be considered heartless and foolish if we shall neglect such a great salvation you did for us! As you chose us to be holy, you commanded us to strive for holiness. Dear God, may we reveal a Spirit led life through the purity of what we think, say and do. Grant us the needed strength which will enable us to separate ourselves from the way of living of worldly people. Let the love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control be the fruit we can share to others. Thus oh Lord, they will see us as a reflection of your image which is perfect and holy. Amen!
