Let Us Pray No. 186

  • July 5, 2017

“Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:4

Abba, our Lord God, you are the Heavenly Father and the Good Shepherd of our souls. You came down to the world and manifested yourself as the begotten Son to impart us the entitlement of being citizens of your heavenly kingdom. Your descent to this earth in form of a man’s body predestined our ascent in heaven to a form of a celestial body. Truly, the nobleness of being your children is an incomparable blessing that we should not only celebrate but live out every day.  As your little children, constantly come near you for comfort and for deliverance. We entrust everything to your gracious hands for we know that you perfectly know us more than we know ourselves. You made us in secret, in the womb of our mothers, and know very well our needs that will be best for us, to succeed and overcome in this world. We are confident that you will be with us wherever we are, whatever we do and whoever we are with to protect and care for us. Whenever we are at our saddest and darkest hours, your presence will brighten our life. When we are in our weakest and lowest point in our lives, you will lift us up and your mighty hands shall be our strength. And when we are in our seasons of joy and laughter, may you find us to kneel in front of you to praise and, worship and thank you. Lord, may we give you back the glory by sharing the blessings to those who are poor in material and spiritual wealth that they may soon find you and serve you. Lord, we ask you today to give us a pure heart and a humble spirit that we may live according to the kingdom life you desire us to live in this world. This we pray in your name. Amen
