Let Us Pray No. 177

  • June 26, 2017

“Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight.” Isaiah 38:3

Abba Father, you who holds everything together in your hands. You lend us the breath of life and you can take it back from us. We come to you in all humility to ask for your forgiveness of our sins which could be the reason why we are afflicted with the sickness of our bodies.  We also pray in behalf of your faithful children who are agonizing in pain and are terminally ill. We fully trust that your will is the best for us. If it is time for us to go from this life, so be it. Your will be done. You are God who does not change and all your decisions are final. However Lord, you have healed a lot of people who suffered from different illnesses and even raise people from the dead. You have done all those for your glory. They worshipped you and proclaimed you are the true God. We truly believe you are the great healer. You know our composition because you are our Creator.  We ask for healing for us to continually serve and worship you. In the grave where we are going, we cannot praise you nor worship you. In the grave, there is nothing that we can bring, except the treasures of heaven which we are able to keep for ourselves while we are alive. We understand fully that these bodies are just temporary dwelling places of our souls on earth and we have this steadfast hope that we shall live in mansions of immortal bodies in heaven for eternity. We do not fear death. You taught us to be brave in the face of it, for we are more than conquerors. This last enemy called death shall have no power over us. We know that in your Second Coming, you shall raise your saints from the dead to live forever and ever. Lord this is our hope and this is our prayer in your name. Amen.
