And you said, “The LORD our God has shown us his glory and his majesty, and we have heard his voice from the fire. Today we have seen that a man can live even if God speaks with him. (Deuteronomy 5:24 NIV)
God showed Himself to Moses in the burning bush in Mount Sinai. At first, Israel was afraid to speak with God for when God speaks, the earth shakes and thunder was heard. They were afraid to get near God and speak with Him. They think they will die. They let Moses talk to God on their behalf. He showed Himself to Israel and spoke to them in the Pillar of fire in the desert. Israel just observed the glory of God from afar. Today, we are experiencing God closer than Israel did. We see His glory every day in our lives. He shows us the His glory and majesty with His loving kindness. He speaks to us in our hearts. God is with us. Moses reflected the glory of God. His face was shining but the brightness of the glory of God faded in time. We have to reflect the glory of God in our lives. Let others see His glory and majesty through us. Brethren, live godly and keep His glory that we may live forever.
