Power Point No. 338

  • December 4, 2018

Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. (Daniel 4:34 NIV)

Kings, presidents, and rulers of nations reign for a time. They die, are replaced, or are ousted from office. Their domains are limited. History reveals kingdoms rise and fall. When Christ comes back, He will be proclaimed as the Sovereign Ruler of the whole creation. He will be King of kings and Lord of lords. He will reign forever. There is no one like Him in power and wisdom. Lucifer, who became Satan, wanted to sit in God’s throne of glory in the highest place in heaven and he was expelled and now awaits his destiny in hell. No one in the right frame of mind would dare kick a sharp object for he will just hurt himself. So are those who will play God, they will destroy themselves. There is just one King whose reign is everlasting. If Christ the King is eternal, then His Kingdom is eternal as well. Bless the Lord, we are members of God’s now invisible Kingdom, the Church, which will be revealed when He comes. It will be a physical Millennial Kingdom and, after 1,000 years, will be the Heavenly Kingdom whose seat of government is in the New Jerusalem in heaven. Hold on to this glorious hope and be firm in our most holy faith.
