You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet. (Psalms 8:6 ESV)
The first Adam was given authority over all created beings on earth. He sinned and lost control of them. The second Adam, Jesus Christ, came to restore mankind. He came to conquer and have dominion over all creation. He put everything under His rule. What Christ has done is what the Church will do. It is the eternal purpose of God for the spiritual body of Christ to overcome the world and reign with Christ in the Millennial Kingdom. As Christ said, the power of death shall not succeed against the Church. Therefore, Saints, we are His Church – with the power to overcome all through faith in Jesus Christ.
